new sbh

New people that identify the sbh direction

The name sbh was set up as an embodiment of that moment when someone catches your attention across a crowded dancefloor and for me mainly that was personified by short blonde hair catching the light, standing out across a sea of black.

The act of wearing/having/creating short blonde hair is usually coupled up with certain mannerisms, times or feelings, which then are associated with the sbh, I’m thinking Billy Idol circa 1980s and Posh Spice circa 2007 I think if you google it when you’ll find a full list somewhere...

Thinking about it, people often turn to the shortblondehair when making a statement, at a possible times in your life when you needed a certain refresh or just to stick your tongue and say *&^% you…This is what I believed when thinking about names and brands etc, It also applied to what I wanted and needed my work to be, frustrated at the creative outputs I was giving myself and the way my work was going/looking. Plus I noticed other successful sites with similar work ethics, all be it with sleazier and larger city content, but coincidentally have now fallen by the wayside.

I wasn’t sure what was to happen when launching sbh into the vortex of culture that is clubslahfash photography.

The idea was to be an unapologetic, semi-anonymous take on the world from this corner of the floor, with a certain amount of humour, as the recent BlackMamba Eurovision entry by Portugal lyrics sort of go:

“I sold my body on a dirty dancefloor”

With this in mind, (the vibe not selling yourself on dancefloors) I’ve just recently I’ve spotted two new additions to the sbh fam, they are Princess Charline of Monaco in that white sleeveless number and Emma Corrin in that bodysuit/dress on the red carpet at the My Policeman premiere in London, please google both and hopefully you’ll see part of the reason why sbh is called sbh.

Appreciate your attention

Ciao Bella.
