1st of the month update

Sorry I’ve been radio silent for the last few (a month!) weeks have been pouring all the energy into a new venture in my linear work so the anfractuous nature of sbh ramblings and thoughts has been lacking a little.

I’m going to attempt to rectify this going forward but I can’t promise much as who knows, I’m still looking for the perfect club to return but think that may be in January now so we’ll have to wait a little longer to see sbh come full circle, the Christmas rush may not be the best representation of clubbing to happen but we’ll see..

Anyway that’s where we are up to and I realise there are a few posts that I’ve posted but didn’t colour in so they’ll definitely need some attentions soon, think my ramblings are falling on sallow ground which has got me thinking about why I’m doing this. I guess it’s to leave some words to go with the extensive (unsorted) archive of club pictures from the 90s to the 20s that I have amassed.

Thinking this catch line for the book:

“Greeted with much critical detraction this clubbing archive has been remastered with new edits and thoughts for your dismissal. It is laundered in a disposable social media format for future generations to discount.”

Now please don’t take this as a negative, it’s merely as I see it honesty as when I see what clubwork makes it out there and reflect on my experiences during those times. I realise that my work and archive will not be appreciated in the current time and I’m completely ok with that, it’s all good.

So here’s one from the archive again...It’s one of those striking images that needs more looking into from a photographers perspective, I think it’s from a fash shoot that I did at the Roadhouse when that was wonderful but possibly towards the ends of it’s days…I’m thinking around 2014…I’ve not really included much of the fashion shoots I did and with the new upgrade in site they’ll need to be reloaded but think I better check that it’s ok to publish as I recently saw someone who was most mortified that I still had a club picture of them as they are now “respectable”
